Back from Bangkok!

Yes, I know I have been missing in action once again lol, pls forgive me =) I haven’t been in the mood to write due to assignments and the oversea training at Bangkok. It was a 2 and a half day training at the Grand Hyatt Erawan. Fantastic property and the hospitality we received were overwhelming. They spoiled us with excellent food. Everyone should try the “Tea Room” at the hotel which serves Thai Cuisine. OMG the food was super duper yummy! I am so going back to dine on my own even if I am not staying there the next time round.

I enjoyed the shopping in Bangkok! All the good bargains and experiencing the flea market where you would not be able to find in Singapore. The clothes and accessories are all so cheap although I think the prices could go down further. Perhaps they are trained to mark up the pricing and gotten used to tourist bargaining. It was pretty difficult to bargain at the weekend market (Chatuchak) but the night (suan lum) market was good. More organized and more things buy too especially the clothes section. But I wish to spend more time at Chatuchak and eat at the roadside stalls = P. The strawberries are so good with the sugar and the “red bits”. I want to eat the kway teow soup!! I must remember to visit section 8 to get my aroma therapy items! The soap and the essential oil are of fantastic quality that are not expensive at all.

We went to the Reclining Buddha temple, Chinatown, the Banyan Tree’s Vertigo for drinks, the floating market and not forgetting Siam Paragon =P. The bird’s nest soup served in Chinatown was simply heavenly and the oysters were huge! I mean real huge, Samuel had 5 of the fresh oysters. The oysters are really fresh but they were too huge for my liking. It was kinda chewy near the centre but it was so fresh.
The view at Vertigo was WOW!!! Standing at 59th level it was simply amazing. The night view was so nice, just that I din enjoy drinking much nowadays. However, I enjoyed the experience and the fantastic view. The floating market is good for those who haven’t been there before but I doubt I would want to visit the floating market again when the tour guide is picking us up at 7.30am! OMG I was so sleepy and tired on my way there and back. Slept like pig that Samuel complain that I was snoring hahaha = P Siam Paragon was a lot better than Central World (My own personal opinion only). I love the floor that the whole section was “lingerie salon” and the bras and lingerie are approximately S$10 lesser as compared to Singapore.

Weather?
It was terrible! So hot that I keep perspiring and my face peels like a snake on my first day at BKK!! Lucky I brought my savior nivea cream. It was so bad and polluted.

Traffic?
Worse, crossing the road was a nightmare! I rather walk the overhead bridge!

Danger?
Although we saw the protesters on the street, however overall they were pretty mild.. just noisy on the road gaining support from the community.

Now being back from Bangkok, I am so looking forward to the next trip there and cont’d my shopping! Haha I think I scared Elodie, Thomas and Samuel while I shopped . Opps.. well I haven been shopping in Singapore mah whahaha am finding excuse for myself =P

Although I did not really have a fantastic birthday celebration because of the TM’s submission and presentation on 15 March 2010, I was really glad that Samuel was able to come to BKK with me! Him spending time with me in BKK was so wonderful and that substitute in a way to celebrate my birthday. Thank you Samuel!!!

I am now look forward to my Taiwan trip in April with Samuel and Beijing and Shanghai in May for Sales Trip with Buddy Boon ^__________^
